Long Term Plans, covering the topics taught over the course of a school year, are used by teachers to help them teach their classes. Our plans are written by subject and ensure that National Curriculum objectives are covered. Planning is very important to learners’ developing and growing in the knowledge and skills they need. These plans are designed to ensure continuity and progression in subject teaching and learning as the children move through school so that every child at SCPS experiences a progressive learning journey and are encouraged to learn more, remember more and do more as they move from Kites through to Year 6.

Our teachers use the long term term plan to inform their medium and short term planning to produce lessons, defining goals and objectives, and developing engaging learning activities.
