Class Teacher

At Sonning Common Primary School we enjoy teaching and you will too!

We are now seeking an amazing full-time teacher to join our team and help us to build on our successes and achieve our ambitious vision for the school. We will consider part-time working for the right candidate. The position could suit an ECT or a more experienced teacher as we simply want to appoint the right person to fit in with us and our values.

Start date is September 2026

Swimming Teachers

We are looking for 2 swim teachers to work Tuesday afternoon (3.30-6.00pm) and Friday afternoon (12.00-5.00), term time only (34 weeks a year) from September 2026

You’ll need to have:

• STA Award or Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualification
• National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches or equivalent
• Ideally Adult & Child qualification
• Knowledge of health, safety and other relevant legislation
• Understanding of Child Protection Policy
• A great sense of fun and passion for swimming
