Sonning Common Primary School has an on-site swimming pool and our Sonning Common Primary Swim School offers lessons to all children (regardless of whether they attend the school or not).
The pool is 10m x 5m and is 1m deep, and is warm and ideal for learning to swim. The changing rooms are newly refurbished and offer communual and private changing areas and showers/toilet facilities.
The SCP Swim School offer friendly and fun swimming lessons, to produce confident swimmers with good skills and a real love of swimming; the start of a journey to your child being a happy and confident swimmer.
The SCP Swim School teachers are experienced, trained to ASA Level 2 and are patient friendly and caring. All classes after school have in-water helpers too.

Swim School Rules
Strictly NO PARKING on school premises before 3:45pm as access is required for Bishopswood School parents.
No parents on poolside unless invited.
Outside doors and windows to be kept closed to maintain pool heat.
All children must wear a swim hat (no exceptions).
No jewellery or watches to be worn in the pool.
No food and drink allowed on the premise (including changing/waiting areas)
All shoes (including those of parents) to be removed before entering the changing room (or use overshoes)
No buggies in the changing rooms at any time.
Please, if you change a nappy, take it home with you, there are no facilities for nappy disposal on site.
