Henley Literary Festival

The Henley Literary Festival has just launched this year’s Dragonfly Tea Short Story Competition.

Over the past two years, thousands of budding writers have penned a tale for the Dragonfly Tea Short Story Competition.

There’s the chance to win top prizes including a hoard of book vouchers for the winning Under-16s, and to be crowned at a special Henley Literary Festival awards ceremony by famed comic and writer, Helen Lederer. For the children’s competition, entries are considered in three age categories (ages 4-7, 8-11, 12-15) with winners receiving book vouchers for themselves and their schools. Shortlisted entries will be read and reviewed by an outstanding panel of judges including Baroness Floella Benjamin and “Hugless Douglas” creator David Melling.

The theme for these marvelous tales will be Maps.

The Word Limit is 500 words and the closing date for all entries is 11:59pm Monday 31st July 2017.
