On Monday afternoon, Miss Worlock accompanied some keen mathematicians from year four to take part in the Maths Challenge afternoon at Gayhurst School in Chalfont St Peter. With determination and perseverance, Devon S, Nina G, Oliver H and Emily W worked incredibly hard using and applying their skills in problem solving to calculate some very tricky challenges.
The time went by extremely quickly as they worked tirelessly, against the clock, to solve challenges involving Tangrams, dominoes, making numbers, sequences and money. But their hard work was noted as both pairs came 12th out of a total of 19 schools from the region and 24th out of 38 pairs which took part.
Well done Devon, Nina, Ollie and Emily! We’ll look forward to taking part next year too
