Lovely to see so many smiling faces and keen children coming through the gate this morning. Staff have been in for a couple of days preparing for the return to school and we can’t wait to get show the children the changes that have been made over the summer!

We are continuing with our OPAL (outdoor play and learning) initiative and, as part of that, our intention is to allow the children on the field every day so please send your child in wearing their school shoes and bringing a change of shoes and socks from the first day. We would prefer that they all had wellies but understand that it is still quite warm and they might prefer to bring a pair of trainers for the moment and a thin waterproof would be helpful as it is too warm for a winter coat but frequently not dry enough to go outside without one. As the weather cools, waterproof trousers may well be needed.
