Last term, we ran a competition for the children to create a mascot to accompany our brand-new Speak Up! Campaign. We had an incredible 119 entries of all shapes, sizes, colours and species! Each of these children received 5 team points for their efforts.
However, we had the unenviable task of deciding our favourites! We chose a winner for each year group (who received a copy of Pablo Coelho’s Poems Aloud – linking oracy skills and our recent focus on poetry), and then an overall winner, whose design then becomes an important part of our campaign!
Our winners (pictured) were:

Year 2 – Marlow
Year 3 – Hiromi
Year 4 – Luke
Year 5 – Gracie
Year 6 – Issy
The overall winner was Gracie, and her design has already been digitised and is up for everyone to see! Thanks again to everyone who entered.
