Last Monday, we marked a very special moment in our school’s history as our 25-year-old Time Capsule was officially returned to the ground—this time, accompanied by a brand new capsule filled with memories and mementos from 2025!
Our new Time Capsule includes:

• Work from every class
• A letter from Mrs Salmons as Headteacher
• A copy of our Centenary celebration
• School items like value bands and Head Pupil badges
• A Rhubarb teddy bear
• A Kites Kitchen menu
• A full list of current staff and their roles
• A screenshot of the school website
• The most recent whole-school photo
• Various photos of the school, grounds and recent events
• A USB stick filled with digital versions of all the items, plus fun videos like our Staff Christmas specials!

The children whose work was chosen for the new capsule had the special honour of taking part in the reburial ceremony—joined by Andy Parry, who originally buried the first capsule 25 years ago! This special project has helped our pupils connect with the past while leaving a message for the future. Here’s to the next 25 years!
