On Tuesday 25th November Kites, Y1, Y2 and Y6 held a beautiful Christingle service to learn about the beginning of Advent and the meaning of Christmas. Mr Marples and guests entertained with their flutes and recorders, and Frances Brewitt-Taylor, Director of Music at St John’s church, led  the service with a lovely discussion about the meaning behind the oranges.  It  continued with beautiful singing from everyone and ended with a moment of peaceful candlelight in the dark. Building up to the celebration, the children had tasks to complete at home to raise pocket money to donate to The Children’s Society. Thank you for helping us to raise £178.97.
