We held our first Maths Made Clear session – on Addition and Subtraction – yesterday.

We had a lively group of teaching assistants and parents. Miss Snowden outlined some of the tools and approaches used in KS1 and Dr Loader drew parallels with the practices in KS2. We also looked at some SATs-style questions and discussed problem-solving and practical maths.

There are still a couple of places on the course – if you feel like coming for a session or two, please contact Dr Loader through the School Office. 4.30pm on Thursdays.  The next sessions are on multiplication, division, fractions, measurement and problem-solving.
