Space to learn, grow and be inspired

Comic Relief Friday 18th March

This year Red Nose Day marks the final day of our STEM week.

We are asking everyone to wear yellow and blue along with the rest of their school uniform, to signal support for those affected by the crisis in Ukraine.

Please can you kindly leave the red noses at home, to prevent any unnecessary spreading of germs or mix ups with noses.  Donation buckets will be by the gates on entry to school in the morning for you to put in a donation of your choice which will go to Comic Relief.

There will also be a LEGO design competition for the whole school.  Entries will be judged on Red Nose Day (Friday 18th March) with prizes up for grabs.  To enter just take a photo of your build (or a drawing/painting of what you would build if you don’t have Lego at home).

The aim of the competition is to design a habitat for one of the red noses. There are 4 suggested habitats to choose from: Savanna, Salt Lake, River and Rainforest, or create habitat of your choice.  You can get special information help sheets from your child’s class teacher or watch the supporting videos and download suggestions from the Comic Relief Website here: Red Nose Day Lego challenge

Send your photo with your name and a few sentences explaining your habitat to Miss Green by 9am Friday 18th March to be entered into the school prize draw.  Miss Green will also be choosing her favourite 3 entries and submitting them to Comic Relief in the hope of winning £2,500 worth of LEGO for school.
