Let us start by marking the end of another challenging year by thanking you all, and everyone in the wider school community, for helping us make it to this point. This year has really highlighted to us the importance of community and partnership – between committed staff, supportive parents, and wonderful, enthusiastic children.
We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that an analysis of our internal academic performance data for reading, writing, maths, science and computing shows that your children are close to where we would have hoped them to be without the pandemic. I would like to extend huge thanks to all staff, pupils and parents for all that you have done, and continue to do, to make this possible.
We are naturally hoping that we can return to something close to normal in September. We have planned for this, but we also have contingency plans and risk assessments in place if we need them.
We send our Y6 leavers and Mr Poole off to pastures new with all our good wishes and we look forward to meeting our new Kites and welcoming our two new teachers, Miss Snowden and Miss Inchley.
We hope that you have a lovely summer break, whatever you have planned, and we look forward to seeing everyone again on Thursday 2nd September.
