Space to learn, grow and be inspired

PTA Summer Fair 22nd June

The PTA Summer Fair will be held on Saturday 22nd June 12 – 3pm and this year the theme is “Embracing Nature and the Environment“.

To support the summer fair there will be a non uniform day on Friday 21st June.  Children are invited to wear their own clothes to school, but please remember that these need to be suitable for a normal day at school (no fancy dress).  To “pay” for wearing non-uniform, children are asked to bring to school (on the Friday morning):

  • a bottle or jar for the adult tombola
  • and a filled jar for the Children’s tombola (eg a jam jar with a small toy, or sweets or whatever you like suitable for children aged 5-11, the jar can be decorated or plain).

At the same time we will be pleased to accept any clean soft toys, games, DVDs and books for the second hand toy stall.

We are not sending paper plates home this year, to reduce waste, but we would still like donations of cakes (homemade or shop bought) for the cake stall.

Fair Highlights

This year some of the highlights will be a climbing wall and a silent auction as well as a raffle with fabulous prizes and lots of games and stalls including making natural crafts.  We will also have a recycling point in the middle of the fair to highlight our theme and how brilliant we are as a school at recycling.

Don’t forget the children’s photographic competition entries for the ‘Embracing Nature’ theme are to be submitted to school by Wed 19th June, and will be judged by visitors to the Fair via secret ballot, the prize is a subscription to National Geographic Jnr Magazine.

Of course we need volunteers to make it all happen : BBQ, Crafts, Tea room, and all the lovely game stalls !

Please contact your Year Rep or PTA Chair Amy O’Connor on amylouise73@yahoo.co.uk to volunteer or for more information.
