Ahoy there! Last week Year Two dressed up as pirates and they all looked fabulous. We took part in a fantastic Pirate Workshop where we found out lots of facts about pirates, watched a pirate puppet show and even made our own pirate puppets!
This week we have been reading ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’ and in the story Mr and Mrs Grinling make mustard sandwiches to keep the seagulls away. The children have asked to make their own mustard sandwiches and really want to see what they would taste like and write a review. So on FUN FABULOUS FRIDAY this week (13/10/17) we will be making mustard sandwiches (using just bread and mustard). If your child has any allergies that we are not aware of please make these known to Miss Wood or Miss Hine before Friday. Thank you!
Next Friday we will be making lighthouses in our art lesson. If you have any empty Pringle or kitchen roll tubes please could you bring these in by Wednesday 18/10/2017.
Finally, just a reminder, please make sure that water bottles are not kept in children’s book bags. We have had a few leakages, which has resulted in very soggy books.
Thank you for your continued support,
The Year Two Team
