My Maths – Problems & Solutions

by School staff on May 10, 2012

It has been bought to my attention that some of the year 6 children are having some problems with My Maths web site.  One of the main problems is finished work is not being updated and being shown as completed. This is not an issue with the child not completing the work but a software glitch.

Today I have been in contact with the software creator and they have sent some information for parents which may help you to solve these issues at home. I have fully tested all the relevant children’s log-ins, ability to open up and work through the homework and have found the issues do not occur in school and therefore could be an issue with home PC permissions.

Please review the attached information and if the solutions/advise does not fix the problems, please do not hesitate to advise me and I can re-visit the software creator for additional assistance.

Hints and Tips for Parents[1]

Are topic this Term!

by Year Six child on April 16, 2012

This term we will be learning about slavery. In this topic we will learn about Martin Luther King, who gave a famous speech, ‘I have a dream’ explaining that everybody is equal, no matter what colour your skin is. A famous black lady, called Rosa Parks, refused to give her seat to a white person on a bus and was fined £10 (which in those days was, a lot of money).

Easter Egg Hunt for Sport Relief.

by Year Six child on March 26, 2012

Some year six girls organised an Easter egg hunt for the infants. Ellie Underwood bought at least 600 eggs and hid them in the paddock with the help of Tilly Lawson, Melody Batt and Emma Carter. The infants had at least 4 eggs each and all enjoyed themselves hugely. So well done to those girls who raised £57.35 for Sport Relief!

Sport Relief Triathlon

by Year Six child on March 26, 2012

On Friday 23rd we had a triathlon to raise money for Sport Relief. All the years had five minutes to complete each activity-throwing basketballs into the hoop, scooting laps around both playgrounds and running laps around the field and paddock. A big thank you to all the year sixes who helped with the events.
