Hi everyone.

Hope you are all having fun playing in the snow. It would be brilliant if you could try to complete these two activities and bring them into school with you when we are back.

English: On Tuesday we were looking at connectives and how they can improve our work by joining two sentences together. Try and write a sentence that includes each of the following words. You should have six sentences altogether when you have finished.

1. Firstly

2. Suddenly

3. Because

4. But

5. Until

6. However

Now try to write one sentence that includes an adjective (a describing word) and then another sentence that includes a simile (when you compare something to something else).

Challenge! Can you write a sentence that includes a connective, an adjective and a simile?

Space: Our topic this term is ‘Adventures in Space’. See if you can find out some facts about Space.

Miss Tugwell’s Maths set: Next Friday our times tables test is going to be on 4x and 6x tables. Remember you also need to learn the division facts. It would also be great if you could practice telling the time. This term we are going to be looking at analogue and digital time, and will also be completing some more time word problems.

Reading: Also make sure that you are trying to read once a day (and recording it in your reading journal -remember you get a team point if you manage to read four times a week!). It doesn’t just have to be your school reading book.

Remember to bring the work you do into school with you and you will earn some team points!
