On Friday, our Year 5 and 6 netball teams travelled to Valley Road School to compete in an exciting afternoon of netball. Our Sonning Common teams made a fantastic start, demonstrating some brilliant defensive skills before working together to move the ball confidently down the court, resulting in a well-deserved goal. Throughout the matches, the children showed great determination, teamwork and resilience, working tirelessly in defence and marking every ball they could. Valley Road proved to be tough opponents, with an impressive goal shooter who managed to score several fantastic goals from the edge of the shooting circle. Despite the final results not going our way, our Sonning Common players held their heads high and should be incredibly proud of their efforts. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, encouraged one another and, most importantly, thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic Friday afternoon of netball! We look forward to welcoming Valley Road to Sonning Common for a return match and hope to arrange another exciting fixture against Kidmore End soon.
