Year 1 and 2 Football Tournament at Kidmore End

Year 2 Football Tournament

On Tuesday 26th March a group of 10 children from Year 2 travelled to Kidmore End School to take part in a football tournament.

Our first game was against Kidmore End 2. Despite some great defending by Evie, some good saves by goalkeeper Ocean and a lot of great runs by Alexis, we were unlucky to lose 1-0.

We didn’t let our heads drop and after a short break, we came back to the pitch to take on Kidmore End 1. It was a very well battled game, with plenty of action in midfield with Ariel and Flo, lots of great runs on the wing by Miles R and good clearances by goalkeeper Rhys. We won 5-2, with some great goals by Lucas, Sophie W and Jesse (3).

Our last game was against Peppard School. It was another solid performance by the whole team, coming back after conceding a goal and winning  2-1, with Lucas and Jesse on the scoresheet.

We were of course over the moon to come first and bring home the trophy!

Thank you to the parents who helped with driving the children and a special thanks to Mrs Young for helping on the day!
