Dear Kites Parents,
Today’s challenge is a tricky one. Socks and shoes.
Can your child try to put their own socks on? Rolling that sock down all the way to the big toe and sneaking their foot in, even if the sock is upside down…practice is key!
Next, the shoes. First- labelling the shoes with a sticker for left and right may help them not to get these two mixed up and will stop the dreaded ‘banana feet’. Secondly, pease avoid laces if at all possible and opt for elasticated laces or Velcro instead. Finally, get your child to wear in their school shoes BEFORE they start. This will ensure that a) they fit, b) they are comfortable and wide enough and c) don’t rub on the heel and will be comfortable enough to wear all day!
Thank you for assisting your child in trying to achieve these tricky little challenges. Good luck!
