Welcome new Kites parents!

On our website, we put weekly updates of our news from the previous week and let you know what we are doing the following week. This will hopefully give you the much needed answers to the question, ‘what have you been learning this week?’ When you may be answered with a shrug.
We also give learning targets or home projects to do with your child as well as focus phonics videos to revise learning that we have done in class.

Leading up to their first day in Kites, we will put a few challenges that may help with your child’s preparation to starting school.

The first challenge is for your child is to recognise their name.

If they can already recognise their name, could they have a go at spelling it? You could use fridge magnets, bath foam letters, you could make up a little song, cut up letters from the newspaper or even writing with different coloured pens.
