OCC information regarding applications for Year 7 in September 2027:

Applications can be submitted from 11 September 2026, the deadline to submit an application is 31 October 2026 and the National Offer Day (when you find out which school your child has been offered) is 1 March 2027.

If you miss the application deadline, your application will be processed later in the year, and you are far less likely to secure a place at your preferred school. It’s very important for you to submit your application by the deadline.

If you live outside Oxfordshire (even if you want to apply to an Oxfordshire school) you should see your local authority’s website.

Where your child has a catchment area school, they may have a higher priority for a place, but it isn’t guaranteed. If there are more applications than places, OCC follow the school’s published admission rules to decide priority. There are other factors, such as whether a child has a brother or sister at the school or whether they have special educational needs. Religious or faith schools could use the religion of your child or family as a deciding factor. You can find details of catchment areas for schools that use them on OCC’s list of schools page. Attending their catchment school does not guarantee that your child will get free home to school transport.
