Hello, and welcome to the first post of Year 6! Your children have settled back into school life beautifully, and we think are ready to hit the ground running on Monday morning!

We’ve immediately got back into the groove of literacy and maths (working on expanded noun phrases in Literacy and thinking about place value in maths), and have had some PE, RE, art and PSHE in the afternoon.

Curriculum Sharing

A quick reminder that we will be having our Curriculum Sharing online event on Wednesday at 6.30pm. A Microsoft Forms link will be shared with you at the beginning of the week. We will go through some of the finer points of Year 6, as well as talking a little bit about Woodlands (although we plan to run a separate event closer to the time).

PE days

Also, a quick reminder that PE is on Wednesdays and Thursdays this year. Please make sure that your children come in the correct gear on those days.

Teacher days

On Monday morning, Mr Burrows’ class will be taught by Mrs Casserley and Mrs Fox’s class will be taught by Dr Loader. In the afternoon, Mrs Casserley will teach both classes science and Mr Burrows will teach both classes computing.
