Space to learn, grow and be inspired

Year 5/6 Cricket Tournament

Last Friday, 24 Year 6 members of the school’s cricket club travelled to sunny Shiplake College for their annual cricket festival. It was wonderful to see so many teams competing this year, with 11 schools providing 18 teams.
SCPS supplied 3 teams – named the Cougars, the Swans and the Caracals – and everyone performed admirably. Although we weren’t provided with results at the end of the tournament (with cricket being the real winner, of course), the three teams showcased some excellent batting, bowling and fielding skills. More importantly than that, the children were kind, supportive and respectful at all times. They were a credit to the school.
The cricketers were Bethany B, Adam B, Louie B, Serenna B, Hazel B-M, Levi B, Felix C, Teddy C, Toby D, Teddy E, Donnie F, Sylvie F, Jack F, Jack G, Sam H, Mason M, Freddie P, Georgie Q, Azor S, Oscar S, Toby T, Ella W, Jonah W and Olivia Z.
