Year 4 have been exploring the depths of the character Demetrius from the story of A Midsummer Night’s Dream this week. The children wrote some amazing character descriptions and made good use of alliteration and similes. We are linking literacy to DT this term and the children have been designing a set for the story. We will be continuing this by making a diorama or 3D stage model. We would be grateful if you could save and send in any cereal or shoe boxes for this project by 23rd June.

Year 4 have been learning about the Great Heathen Army in topic this week and are looking forward to learning more about the Vikings at Ufton Court next week.

The children have all been given a reminder of the essentials for our trip to Ufton Court next week as well as some reminders of what is not permitted. The weather forecast is still changeable for the duration of our stay, there’s nothing predictable about the British summer! Please ensure that your child brings both rain coat and sun protection to suit all weather. The coach will be leaving at 9 am on Wednesday 17th June. The gates will be open from 8:30 am if you would like to arrive a little earlier.
