A shorter week, but still packed full of learning!
Tuesday, the children dove into the story of Beowulf and Grendel by acting out parts of the story. The children really enjoyed the role play. We then mapped it out to make sure we got it all in the correct order. We watched an animated version of the first parts of the story on BBC that had them all captivated! Next week, the children will begin to plan out how to re-tell the story in their own words.
In art, the children finished off the soap sculptures. They all put such a lot of effort into their sculptues, I think a lot of them were surprised at how long it took. Some of the children had to adapt their designs when parts came off unexpectedly, but it was all part of the experience.
The children had fun investigating the weather to round off the week. We have combined science and computing to investigate how weather data is collected. We collected and logged our own data for today’s weather using a range of resources.
