Space to learn, grow and be inspired

Term 4 Week 4

This week in literacy, we have been taking a closer look at our teeth and how each type of tooth has a very specific function. We focused our writing with an explanation text to inform our readers of everything they need to know about teeth, including how to look after them. The children will be writing these up ready for their profile books on Monday.

It was Big Write this week, where we dived into the world of the BFG and created our own dream jars. We talked about what a happy dream would be for each of us and then wrote about them. The year 4 team were impressed with their creativity of the dreams…candy land was a popular choice! I wonder if they have special tooth brushes there?

In history, our topic has become more focused. We are still looking at the Romans, but more specifically at who the Incini tribe were and why Boudica is such a well known historical figure.

4JM/KC have enjoyed their time at forest camp this term, it will be 4RF/CH’s turn in the first two weeks back after Easter. Please refer to the previous email about when your child will need to be dressed for forest camp.

Next week is the end of term. Please remember that we will be finishing at 1:15 on Friday.
