Sonning Common Primary School

Space to learn, grow and be inspired

Term 1 – Week 6

Our week

It has been lovely having all our staff back in this week and the children have really had a lot of fun. We have been preparing to write some persuasive letters about life in our school (watch out Mrs Hirst!) and there have lots of great ideas for changes and improvements. In maths we have moved onto addition and subtraction. Talking about endangered species in science has proved very popular and the children will be working on short presentations about a chosen creature. We have loved hearing their insightful questions and thoughts about saving the planet! There has also been some INCREDIBLE optional homework this week and last, well done to all those who have bought in models, quizzes and extra work galore.

Thanks

We would like to thank everyone who sent in equipment for the flapjack fun! We had plenty to use and it really meant everything could run smoothly. The children had an incredible time and we were so pleased that they work as hard they did to make some pretty impressive creations. We hope you managed to taste some before they were wolfed down! We do have some wooden spoons left so do let us know if you are missing one.
