Year 2 have enjoyed creating cardboard bug hotels this week. Here is what we are covering next week:

In Maths, we will continue our ‘time’ topic looking reading the time to 5 minutes.

In Literacy, we will start writing persuasive speeches to clean up the ocean.

In Science, we will create posters about animals in different habitats.

In PE, we will practice goal scoring.

In History, we will learn about our final nurse, Edith Cavell.

Please wear PE kit on Mondays and Wednesdays. 

Owls have Forest Camp on Tuesday.

We have a drama workshop on Thursday.

The optional weekend challenge is to write an acrostic poem for the word HABITAT. Present in school for 3 team points. For example:

H – Home for living things

A – Animals need it to survive

B – Bees live in colonies

I – Ice and water are a habitat for penguins

T – Trees and meadows look after the bugs

A – All animals have a habitat

T – Tall grass can hide lots of creatures!
