Year 3 Update

Year 3 have thoroughly enjoyed reading The Hodgeheg in Literacy over the past few weeks. We have been following Max’s adventures and are now getting ready to write our own stories inspired by the book.

In Topic, we have started our exciting new topic all about the history of the railway. We have also begun to explore the Industrial Revolution and have enjoyed finding out how it changed people’s lives.

In Science, we have been investigating magnets and learning about push and pull forces through a range of practical activities.

Reminders

• Miss Stone’s class will be swimming on 23rd June.
• Miss Green’s class will be swimming on 30th June.
• Homework and reading records should be returned by Thursday each week.
• With the warmer weather continuing, please make sure your child comes to school with a hat and has sun cream applied before school.
• We kindly ask that children do not bring toys/fidgets of any sort into school. Unfortunately, we have had a few incidents of items going missing, which has caused some upset. Thank you for your support with this.
• Sports Day has been postponed and will now take place on 1st July.
