Space to learn, grow and be inspired

Term 3 Week 2 update

Hello, and welcome to another weekly Year 3 bulletin. Thankfully, we’ve all managed to stay safe and warm in the extremely cold weather, even in our Ancient Egypt Day costumes! Believe me, that is no mean feat.

This week, your children have been up to the following:

  • In literacy, we have been writing poems about water, which we then turned into shape poems.
  • In maths, we have been working on multiplication.
  • In history, as well as Ancient Egypt Day, we spent time thinking about how life then was different to our lives now.
  • In RE, we discussed the question: what is a soul?
  • In computing, we started our new topic of using word processors.

Swimming and PE

As well as outdoor PE for everyone on Monday, Mr. Burrows’s class will have swimming on Thursday afternoon. Miss Green’s class should come to school that day in PE kit.

Ancient Egypt Day

First of all, a big thank you for making your children’s costumes look so authentic! Everyone looked brilliant, and it really added to the day. We did take photos and are in the process of identifying ones to put on the website. You can expect to see them in the next few days.

Thank you for your continued support, and we will see your children on Monday morning.
