Hello, and welcome to this week’s Year 3 update. It’s been great to see your children continuing to settle into the new term and Key Stage 2 in general. You should be proud!

This week, your children have been up to the following:

• In literacy, we have been learning about play scripts by performing our favourite fairytales!
• In maths, we have been working on addition and subtraction.
• In geography, we learned about the countries that make up the UK and some of its major cities.
• In DT, we practised sewing different types of stitches, ahead of making our own Christmas stockings.
• In RE, we discussed Moses and the Ten Commandments. Then, the children made up their own.

Swimming and PE

This Thursday afternoon, it is the turn of Miss Green’s class to go swimming. Mr. Burrows’s class should come to school on Thursday in PE kit.

Times Table Rock Stars

You should have received an email on Friday from the office with a link to a video explaining a bit about Times Table Rock Stars and why we use it. It’s five minutes, so please watch it if you can! If you have any further questions, please do get in touch with us in the usual ways.
