Hello, and welcome to the first Year 3 update of the term! Your children have settled into Term 2 beautifully, especially as Miss Green has been unwell for half of the week (don’t worry – she’ll be back on Monday!). They have dealt with the disruption brilliantly, and we are very proud of them.

This week, your children have been up to the following:

• In literacy, we have been writing persuasive adverts to attract new members to a team of diving…giraffes!
• In maths, we have been continuing to work on addition and subtraction.
• In geography, we introduced our new topic – the UK!
• In computing, we had our first week of being Scratch bug hunters.
• In RE, our new topic is Judaism. This week, we learned the origin story of the religion – Abraham and Sarah.

Swimming

This week, it will be Mr. Burrows’s class’s turn to go swimming. Miss Green’s class should come to school in PE kit.
