Thank you so much to those parents who came along on the trip and were so good-humoured whilst getting drenched!! The children coped really well with the wet weather and loved the bug hunting and the adventure play area.
Next week in literacy we will do some work on common spellings as well as spending some time learning and enjoying a variety of animal poetry. In handwriting at the moment we are practising capital and lower case letters as we noticed that some of the children are unsure which capitals go with which lower case letters.
In maths we will finish our work on fractions and then move on to some work on position and direction (forwards, backwards, left and right, half, quarter, three-quarter and whole turns.) In geography we will be continuing to learn about our local area: looking at maps and aerial photos, and science will be learning about the different ways animals can be groups and sorted.
The Air and Water teams are at Forest Camp on Monday and we will be swimming on Wednesday next week.
