Thank you for all the junk – it really helped with making the moon buggies! This week we will be making a poster for the hall about our moon buggies and how we made and tested them. The children really enjoyed making them and were full of ideas. They also enjoyed the drama workshop and it was a pleasure to watch them as they were so enthusiastic and behaved beautifully!
- Phonics will go back to the longer sessions as before.
- In maths we will continue with using non-standard measures, moving on to using centimetres later in the week.
- In DT we will be looking at different kinds of bridges and using different materials to make and test our own.
- In science we will be hunting for signs of spring outdoors.
- In history we will learn about a new space explorer: Mae Jemison.
- With Easter approaching we will read some stories about the life of Jesus.
- There is Forest Camp on Monday for the Air and Water teams and swimming on Wednesday
- On Friday children can wear something red for Red Nose Day.
Thanks,
The Year 1 Team
