Dear Parents/Carers,

This week we will be assessing the children’s phonics skills in preparation for next term and consolidating the learning we have covered this term. We will also be talking to the children about their favourite toys in preparation for our ‘History of Toys’ workshop at the beginning of next term. We will need a few parent helpers for the day, so if you are happy to come along on Monday 30th October, please let us know.

As we mentioned in our Curriculum Sharing meeting in September, we are planning a Phonics For Parents session and have set a date for Thursday 2nd November at 6.30pm: a link will be sent out to everyone nearer the time if you are interested. There is also the school disco on Thursday: 4.15 to 5.45pm for children in KS1 and on Friday afternoon, the children will be meeting their Year 6 Buddies for the first time!

We seem to be acquiring an increasing number of cardigans and sweat shirts in school, so we will will put them out on a table on the last day of term to help you reclaim any lost belongings.

Miss Snowden’s class will be swimming on Wednesday.
