Year 4 enjoyed beginning their soap sculptures this week. We used cocktail sticks and paper clips as tools to gradually carve away the excess soap. These are shaping up nicely and will be continued next week.
In literacy, we have finished publishing our Michael Morpurgo biographies and have been reading the first story of Beowulf, where he fights Grendel, in preparation for retelling the story next week. Everyone has been really enjoying this thrilling tale and are looking forward to the next adventure.
In maths, we have come to the end of our work on money. The children have shown a good level of understanding during this unit. Coming up is more decimals, shape, time and statistics.
The children have been told that squishies and fidgets are not allowed in school, unless approved specifically by a teacher. We would appreciate your support with this.
