Hello,

We’ve had a calm and productive start to Term 5 in Year 4. This week, we began exploring our new class book, Leon and the Place Between. The children have enjoyed discussing the front cover and sharing their ideas about what might happen in the story. In Art, we created rainforest moodboards, and we also introduced our new Geography topic on mountains!

Looking ahead to this week:

• Literacy – We’ll be writing a setting description based on Leon and the Place Between, focusing on similes, adjectives, and fronted adverbials.

• Topic – In Geography, we will focus on understanding mountain contour lines.

• PSHE – We will be thinking about how we can care for the environment and make more sustainable choices in our daily lives.

Reminders:
Miss Stone’s class (Group 2) will be attending Forest Camp on Friday afternoon. A list is displayed in Miss Stone’s classroom window if you are unsure which group your child is in.
