Hello, and welcome to another weekly Year 5 update! I’m sure you can understand that this will be a fairly light newsletter because we don’t have much to say! The first thing is a big thank you to you all for your understanding and flexibility this week.

This week (in the mornings at least), your children have been up to the following:

• In literacy, we have just about finished our biographies about Roald Dahl.
• In maths, we have either been learning about converting units or volume.
• And that’s about it!

Sports Day

Because of the weather, Sports Day will now take place on Wednesday 1st July. We’re going to squeeze both KS1 and KS2’s events into a morning: KS2 9.15 to 11.15, KS1 11.15 to 12.15. Hope to see you there!

Summer Fair

In case you haven’t seen, the Summer Fair on Saturday has been cancelled due to the hot weather. We will look to incorporate lots of the events into our Colour Event on Friday 10th July. Please keep an eye out for updates in the near future.

PE

PE will be on Monday and Friday this week, and they will both be outdoors, so please make sure your children are dressed appropriately for the (hopefully slightly less?!) clement conditions.
