ON YOUR BIKE  – 3^rd April 2022

Every year since 2006, a committee, who are part of the SCPS PTA, have organised a family cycle event called “On Your Bike”.  This is open to everyone, regardless of age or ability, as it’s a ride, not a race. You choose our marshalled route of either 6, 12 or 20 mile route leaving from school around the village and the local countryside, ending up back at school.

One hundred percent of all entry fees are shared between Sonning Common Primary School PTA and chosen local charities.

Hundreds of people turn up to cycle on the day and it’s all good fun for the school and wider community, people come from far and wide to take part. In 2020 and 2021 the event could not take place due to Covid restrictions, but the committee are raring to go for the event to restart in April 2022!

But we need your help. We need new committee members to join the On Your Bike team, specifically:

• Media person/s – to update the website and Facebook and liaise with local press
• Marshall Coordinator – organise the volunteers who direct the cyclists around the route
• Lots of marshalls for the route to help the cyclists go the right way!
