Year 2 loved the visit from Blue Cross this week and completed a brilliant maths assessment. Here is what we are covering next week:

In Maths, we will measure temperature and capacity.

In Literacy, we continue our poetry unit with diamante poems.

In History, we will plan a menu for a medieval banquet.

In ICT, we will work on our typing skills and adding images to Word.

In PSHE, we will look at staying safe with medicine.

Please wear PE kit on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Hedgehogs have Forest Camp on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, it is safer internet day

On Thursday, it is the school disco.

On Friday, it is DT day. We are making animal hand puppets.

The optional weekend challenge is to write an acrostic poem about staying safe online. You could use the words like: online, safety or internet. Present in school for 3 team points! For example:

O nline safety is important

N ever share your password

L eave the site if you are scared

I f you are worried tell your parents

N ever tell them your name or address

E very one can have fun online if they are safe!
