Well done to those of you who submitted a class flag! We have voted for one to represent our class which we have displayed on our doors.

We have STEM week next week, which will be full of Science experiments and investigations. The theme is ‘Change and Adapt’. Year 2 are focusing on how changing the height of a ramp impacts the distance a car travels, and how changing material of a ball impacts how many times it bounces. We will also be doing Science lessons related to Scientists and their discoveries.

We are using paint next week to show how germs spread. Please can you bring in an old, adult-size t-shirt for your child to have as an apron.

Linking to our Literacy lessons on dictionaries, the optional challenge over this weekend is to create a made-up word and its definition, which you think would make a good school value. Bring this into school for a team point! 

For example: Slantopidy – Looking after other people’s things.

Spellings will be tested on Wednesday.
