Well done to every one in Year 2 for making some lovely puppets on our DT days this week, as well as completing a maths mini test and long piece of writing. The children have worked very hard!
We have another busy week ahead in Year 2 and Red Nose Day on Friday. Please wear one thing red and submit your ‘Rhubarb Costume’ competition entries by Friday morning.
We are starting a new book in Literacy called ‘The Book With No Pictures’ to help introduce the use of Dictionaries. If you have one at home, see if your child can find some words.
In Maths, we are starting a new unit ‘Measurement’, focusing on Length. You could have a go at measuring some objects at home with a ruler.
The challenge over this weekend is to recognise the flag of Kenya and design your very own flag to represent the class! Bring this into school for a team point!
For PE we will be developing our tennis skills and creating a street dance routine. For Computing and Geography we will be creating our Kenya Powerpoint presentations.
New spellings will go into their reading records.
See you Monday!
