Good Afternoon,

Year 2 will be having a Bake Sale on the 6th of February. We are encouraging all of the children to get involved so if you can, get baking!

Children doing phonics will bring home a Read Write inc. book in a plastic zipper wallet each week. They have been reading it in class and would love to show off their reading skills, practice new sounds and vocabulary with you at home. Your support is vital to help them consolidate their learning. Thank you for your support with this.

This week:

Literacy – we will be reading ‘Grandad’s Camper’ by Harry Woodgate and describing the setting of the story using adjectives

Maths – working out the correct change and differences of amounts of money

History – learning about the life of Queen Victoria and mapping out her family tree

PSHE – the importance of caring for our local environment

On Thursday morning Year 2 will get to participate in the Drama4all workshop

Swimming and forest camp

Miss Jones’ class will be swimming and doing forest camp this week
