Hello, and welcome to the final Year 3 update of Term 3! We’ve been so impressed with the effort that your children have put into their work this term, and hope that you have seen some evidence of the fruits of their labour over the past few weeks!
This week, we have been up to the following:
- In literacy, we have been working on writing poems about water. If you get the opportunity, explore some poetry with your children over half term – they loved it!
- In maths, we continue to plough on with multiplication and division, and will pick up where we left off in Term 4.
- In history, our Ancient Egyptian topic came to an end with a lesson on hieroglyphs. Next term, our topic will be the Stone Age.
- In PSHE, we discussed the importance of thinking about what we feel comfortable with doing in the playground, and how to give (and deny) consent.
- In computing, we filled out each other’s online surveys and had a glimpse at some of the results!
PE and (not) swimming
PE will continue to be on Monday afternoons in Term 4, but there will be no swimming. This means that children should come to school in PE kit every Tuesday as well as every Monday.
Pencil case restocking
We’ve noticed that pencil cases are getting a little low in terms of stock! If possible, could you please refill them with essential stationery, such as writing pencils, glue sticks and pencil sharpeners? Thank you.
We hope you have a wonderful half term holiday, and we will see your children bright and early on the morning of Monday 24th February.
