Year 3 will be enjoying a very Christmassy week this week. In Literacy, we are reading Coming Home and focusing on how the bird is feeling at different points in the story.

In Maths, Miss Green’s group are finishing their work on multiplication and division. Miss Stone’s group have reached the end of their addition and subtraction unit, and she has been very impressed with how well the children have persevered, even when they found the learning tricky.

After Christmas, we will be working on The Story of Tutankhamun by Patricia Cleveland-Peck. If you happen to have a copy at home, it would be wonderful if your child could bring it into school to use. We will also be starting our new topic on the Egyptians. In Art, the children will be learning about prehistoric art.

Reminder: Miss Stone’s class will be swimming in the first week back after Christmas.
