This week in maths we will be comparing numbers using language such as more than, greater than, less than, smaller than and equal to. We will also being learning some of the symbols that are used to represent these words <, >, and =. We will also be having an arty week, brightening up year 1 with some displays of our work and activities.

In science we will be starting to look at seasonal change by keeping records of the weather and learning about different weather symbols and in DT we will be making a fruit kebab for a friend, using their favourite fruits.

This week  we will be returning to a system of swimming on alternate weeks : the children who have not yet swum will be getting started in the pool, and the children who swam last week won’t swim this week but will swim again next week.

Forest Camp this week will be for the Fire and Water teams.
