Next week will be a whole-school theme week related to history. Different year groups are picking a decade each and Year 1 are looking at the history of their lives so far: making a timeline of their lives and a family tree (just siblings, parents and grandparents). We will also try to add in some major world events that have happened in the last six years. Obviously photos (or photocopies of photos) would be very handy – what did they look like when they were 1, 2, 3 etc. If you have baby books that you wouldn’t mind sharing for a day, that would be brilliant; or if you have any entertaining anecdotes that you could jot down – or even send in as a video – then please do!

On the theme of growing we will be learning a new poem: Now We Are Six, by AA Milne

Maths will be telling the time to the hour and half hour and any practice at home will be really helpful, particularly for half past. We will also measure our heights!

The Fire and Water teams will be at Forest Camp on Monday and Miss Snowden’s class will be swimming on Thursday with the first group from Miss Bartlett’s class.
