The children did a great job of retelling the story of the Three Little Pigs last week! It is good to see them becoming more confident as writers. This week we will be using some of the vocabulary that we have been learning in our science lessons to write simple riddles, and see if we can guess which objects are being described.

In maths we will be working on addition and subtraction with numbers to 20 and, in particular, number bonds to 10 and 20 and doubles up to double 10. This would be a good moment to have a go with this game: Hit the button

which practises both skills.

In history we will be finishing off the Viking longboats that we started last week and in science we will be investigating which material will make the best umbrella. In PHSCE we will be continuing on our emergency theme but talking a bit about First Aid.

Miss Bartlett’s class will be swimming this week and Forest Camp will be for the Air and Earth teams.
