Nearly at the end of January already! The Toys Day last week was really enjoyable – many thanks to all the parents who came along to help out!

After our Wolfy descriptive writing last week, this week we will be retelling the story of the Three Little Pigs, verbally and in writing. We have suggested to the children that they could  – if they would like to – have a go at retelling the story to the class or they could make a video of themselves at home retelling  The Three Pigs or a favourite story that they enjoy so we could share it with the class. This is for fun, so please don’t feel under pressure!

Many activities this week will be continuing from last week: maths will be more comparing and ordering numbers and science continues on the theme of the properties of materials. In computing we are using Paint to draw illustrations of the Three Little Pigs. In PHSCE we have been working on the theme of Safety – last week we spoke about what to do if you get lost, and this week we are moving on to making an Emergency phone call. Any practise at home with knowing their address or phone number would be handy.

Miss Snowden’s class will be swimming this week along with the group that swim weekly. Forest Camp on Monday is for the Fire and Water teams.
