This week we will be doing phonics and maths assessments to group the children ready for next term. Thank you all for your support in reading with the children at home – it really makes a difference.
In maths we will be doing lots of practical shape-related activities: building 3D shapes from card and construction kits, making models using 3D shape, making pictures and patterns from 2D shapes. Here is an activity making shape patterns and pictures that your child could try at home: Shape Patterns
In science we will be continuing to learn about seasonal change and looking more closely at the weather in autumn and the kinds of clothes we need to wear to stay warm and dry. In PHSE we will be thinking about our strengths: what are we good at already and what would we like to get better at?
Air and Earth teams are at Forest Camp this week.
